Excel Truck Group is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join the team at our brand-new location in Ashland, VA. There are opportunities for Mobile mechanics and in-shop 1st shift mechanics! 

If you have experience working with diesel engines, this is an opportunity you need to explore! Certifications are a plus and can earn you an increase in wages. Experience with Freightliner, Mack, Sterling, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and/or Cummins ideal but not required. Major Duties and Responsibilities for in-shop Technicians: 

• Performs scheduled maintenance 
• Ideally certified to perform State Inspections and CDL.  
• Welds equipment as needed.  
• Prepares shop work orders on equipment repair.  
• Computer experience with a working knowledge of CDK ideal but not required. 
• Cleans shop and surrounding work areas.  
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 
• Promotes cooperation and teamwork. 
• Willing to train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development.

• Must have your own tools. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities for Mobile Technicians: 

• Perform repairs and or scheduled maintenance as needed as a mobile Technician at our customers location. 
• Perform State Inspections and CDL.  
• Diagnose and repair on the roadside and or not at our dealership.   
• Prepare work orders for repairs and works closely with our Parts department to insure an efficient repair.  
• Train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned
